The University Health System Corporate Web site

The University Health System Web site is an immense site that was created by committee. This Web site is a collaboration between several medical institutions and numerous department leaders who monitored the progress including, University Hospital, all UHS affiliates and the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio.

esd & associates performed a complete overhaul and re-design of the University Health System Web site in 2004, a move that enabled users, such as patients and employees, to manuever through the site in a quick and easy manner. We created over 300 pages that covered every department in the system. A complete overhaul of the search engine optimization process was integrated into the site for efficient health information searches. A UHS news component was developed to allow for company information to be instantly posted online for UHS patients and employees. Every major medical service and department offered within UHS has their own pages that include a listing of services, location, and contact information. The UHS site is in full-compliance with ADA and HIPPA standards. Initial results indicate a 100% increase in sustained site visitors.
