Erik Simpson launched esd in 1993 and eventually expanding the firm from a three-client organization into San Antonio’s fourth largest digital creative agency. Erik Simpson is the bridge between our client-partners’ needs and the creative process that delivers results. Under Erik’s creative leadership, esd has earned hundreds of client awards from PRSA, IABC, ADDY, Webby, HealthCare Marketing and an International MarCom award. As a dedicated member of the San Antonio community, Erik works with a number of nonprofit organizations, including San Antonio Sports, University Health Foundation and YMCA. Over the last 10 years, the firm has developed marketing strategies and campaigns that have returned over $216 million in market share growth for clients, under Erik’s leadership.

Christine Kleha serves as CEO, Chief Communications Strategist and Partner at esd. Christine pairs the right message and visual creative with the right media distribution network to get results. Christine has served on both the PRSA and IABC Boards. She was also recognized with SABJ Women Leadership Award and grew esd to be one of the largest recognized woman-owned businesses (SABJ 2010 – 2011). Christine’s current leadership responsibilities and expertise are focused on operations and campaign development.

Judy led the development of the ERP systems for B2B companies in Taiwan and supervised the conversion of computer-based training courses for The U.S. Navy. As Chief Digital Development Officer, Judy oversees all aspects of esd’s digital work, from website & app development to software & servers, including data research & analysis. Judy strategizes and executes hundreds of digital campaign through seamless, smooth, effective cross-device applications for our client-partners, including VIA Metropolitan Transit, City of San Antonio, City of Helotes, Shiner Beers, SABOR, Humana, Methodist Healthcare System and many more.

Vice President of Account Services
Charlie Castleman oversees account services, campaign strategy & execution at esd. Charlie also understands digital and is Google certified. Charlie is data driven and adept at evaluating which campaigns are delivering conversions, what content needs to be adjusted based on digital ad A/B testing and how to allocate a budget for enhanced results. He and his team manage esd’s digital campaigns and 2 million+ in digital media for various clients. Charlie manages numerous local and national brands, including the Methodist Healthcare System, San Antonio Housing Authority, City of San Antonio, Community First Health Plans, Mister Sparky and more. Directed by Charlie, the Methodist Healthcare #JTSeeMe campaign received over 1 billion media hits within two weeks.

Business Development Strategist
Joseph Garcia has an excellent record of performance and has proven the ability to meet tight deadlines, conduct business negotiations and consistently deliver superior results. Prior to esd, Joseph served in an advisory role for SABEResPODER, a Los Angeles-based Hispanic media company charged with developing marketing initiatives for Hispanic retail marketing. For the past 15 years, he served in COO and Director of Marketing roles, providing client campaigns for Texas Department of Transportation, American Heart Association, Ohio State University, American Diabetes Association, Humana, City of San Antonio and Tracfone Wireless, among others.

Creative Director
David Gonzales has brought his amazing creativity to all of our major accounts including SeaWorld, University Health System, San Antonio Rodeo, Methodist Healthcare and City of San Antonio. As the creative director, David implements design standards and lead the creative team in developing new strategies and sustaining brand standards for our client-partners. His talent as a designer has advanced the clients’ creative outreach ten-fold in all facets of print and interactive media design.
