The best of the best were honored by the San Antonio Chapter of IABC (International Association of Business Communicators) at its annual Bronze Quill Awards Banquet. Four esd&associates client-partners were recognized for demonstrating excellence in the communications field.

“We are very proud to help bring home these awards for our clients,” said Christine Kleha, President & CEO of esd&associates.  “The ability to participate directly and achieve outstanding results is inspiring.”

The Gambrinus Company’s Life in Shiner website, Greg Riedel & Stacy Williams, executives, won an Award of Excellence in the Electronic & Digital Communications Category.

“If I didn’t work here, I’d volunteer here,” laughs Shiner Marketing Manager, Stacey Williams. “Honestly, our customers have a similar mentality. esd captured that spirit and built it into our Web site.”

The San Antonio Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, Adriana Garcia, executive, was given an Award of Excellence in the Other Graphic Design Category for its 80th Year Anniversary campaign.

In the Social Responsibility Category, the OwnUp SA consortium won an Award of Excellence. And, Community First Health Plans and Blake Prewitt were presented a Certficate of Merit for the Commercial Campaign in the Special Events Category.

“We are thrilled our client-partners were recognized for being among the best in San Antonio,” added Kleha. “It’s also a chance for us as public relations professionals to demonstrate how successful campaigns are researched, developed and executed.”

San Antonio Police Chief William McManus was the keynote speaker.  He was also presented the Business Communicator of the Year Award for his service to the City.

The IABC annual awards dinner and celebration was held June 4 at the Witte Museum.
