The health of San Antonio isn’t perfect. In fact, the city has often fallen into the lowest margin of nationwide health statistics. The Bexar County Health Collaborative is committed to changing this trend through action and information. The non-profit, wellness-focused organization plans community events, conducts health-related research studies and creates overall strategies to promote a healthy citizenry. With such a value laden mission and service offering, it seemed only proper to promote the Health Collaborative’s research and initiatives across every platform available.

When challenged to transform the Bexar County Health Collaborative’s impressive wealth of health resources into a mobile friendly format, esd outlined a plan of both purpose and creativity.
Building off of the Health Collaborative’s already existing brand elements, we designed a completely unique mobile website template infused with the energy and excitement associated with healthy living. Carrying this theme throughout the site’s pages, we encouraged active community engagement with the site and highlighted some of the Health Collaborative’s most important community related elements and resources:
- Their calendar of events
- The community news forum
- Access to research provided by the Collaborative’s valued health partners and the organization’s own Annual Health Assessment Report
- Information on the organization itself and the value it provides to the community

The Bexar County Health Collaborative has already seen a gradual improvement in the overall health and wellness levels of San Antonio. As this trend continues, the Health Collaborative’s mobile website will be in the pockets and instant search bookmarks of health seekers, informing, inspiring and motivating.
