This Saturday starting at 8 a.m., Councilwoman Shirley Gonzales, an Ironman Triathlete, will be on hand as sponsor of the District 5 Fit Family Finale, which closes out the 2013 Fit Family Challenge. Hundreds of families will visit Roosevelt Park for the final Big Event of the 2013 Fit Family Challenge.Activities for the entire family include kayaking the San Antonio River, Community First hamster ball races, soccer clinics with The Soccer Factory, B-Cycle demonstrations, and a basketball tournament. There will also be FREE backpacks available to the first 600 people.
The final winner of the Fit Family Challenge $1,000 grand prize will be chosen. Door prizes include: San Antonio Scorpions tickets, B-Cycle memberships and more.
